Abstract:

Background: One of the most important tasks of community leaders is to anticipate, plan, and provide the necessary measures to deal with the crisis and its consequences. Providing safe as well as healthy water and food for those affected is one of the most important steps that governments should take. The present article reviewed nutritional needs at the time of NATURAL disaster and measures needed to address them. Materials and methods: In this review study, data were collected using databases searching and keywords nutrition, management, crisis, DISASTERS, and rations from 1960 to 2017. Results: After reviewing the studies, it was observed that after the DISASTERS, firstly, measures such as population estimation for service provision, probable estimation of infant children, climatic conditions of the region, food-aware human resources and etc., should be done by food management in times of crisis. After evaluating the nutritional status of the priority groups, it should be designed to each individual nutrition management plan. Conclusion: Due to the important role of nutrition in DISASTERS, the best nutritional content should be provided in accordance with the conditions of DISASTERS, available standards for any type of foodstuff and appropriate for any age, sex, etc., should be provided, and according to nutritional requirements and inaccessibility of foodstuffs, powder packages with needed ingredients for rapid dissolution in water should be prepared.

Abstract:

NATURAL DISASTERS itself does not cause loss of human beings, but it is the vulnerability of communities which threats human beings. Actual injury depends on two factors of being exposed to danger and characteristics of the receiving unit of danger. Today, most of the countries are trying to achieve sustainable development and NATURAL DISASTERS are threats to these efforts. So, adopting strategies to sustain the living environment against inevitable threats is essential. The dominant approach in this research is analytical – descriptive. At first, through documentary and field study, it has been tried to determine the criteria of vulnerability, and then with the software like Excel, SPSS, and Expert Choice, based on SWOT analysis model and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and it has been attempted to prioritize strategies for incorporating the capabilities of the armed forces in NATURAL DISASTERS. Based on the hierarchical analysis, promoting NATURAL and sustainable defense in site selection, completing defense cycle and interacting with active and passive defense, and using country's media capabilities for informing the public are respectively important.

Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to estimate the effect of NATURAL DISASTERS on production of agricultural sector based on 1980-2005 time series data using Autoregressive Regressing with Distributed Lags (ARDL). The results indicated that NATURAL disaster had significantly negative effect on production of agriculture sector. Policy implication of this study is provision of insurance for farm products and income besides development of investment to raise agricultural production.

Abstract:

During NATURAL DISASTERS and social crisis violence against women increases. From the structure of the family to the public places, each becomes a field of violence against women. This paper shows that violence against women is not limited to the domestic, and it's severity exceeds during war and NATURAL DISASTERS, and it affects the safety of women in public places. By using documentary method, this paper reviews problems, actions and studies that are conducted in the past four years on violence against women during NATURAL DISASTERS and social crisis. Reports indicate that violence against women-whether domestic or in public places – has been increased during war and NATURAL DISASTERS that has brought different physical, psychological, mental, moral, and legal consequences for women. Actions and activities undertaken in the field of combating violence against women in NATURAL DISASTERS and social crisis include: 1. Struggling to return to normal life by victims, especially women, 2. Changing the attitude and role of religious and cultural leaders, 3. Women's empowerment, 4. Launching campaigns and scientific and civil activities, 5. Pass an international law and resolutions 6. Establishment of secure centers.

Abstract:

Introduction: As a result of destruction and lack of access to vital infrastructures and mental stress, DISASTERS intensify cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and hence management of CVDs becomes more challenging. The aim of this study is investigating incidence and prevalence of CVDs, morbidity and mortality of CVDs, treatment and management of CVDs at the time of NATURAL DISASTERS. Methods: In the present systematic review, the articles published in English language until 28. 11. 2020, which studied CVDs in NATURAL DISASTERS were included. The inclusion criteria were CVDs such as myocardial infarction (MI), acute coronary syndrome (ACS), hypertension (HTN), pulmonary edema, and heart failure (HF) in NATURAL DISASTERS such as earthquake, flood, storm, hurricane, cyclone, typhoon, and tornado. Results: The search led to accessing 4426 non-duplicate records. Finally, the data of 104 articles were included in quality appraisal. We managed to find 4, 21 and 79 full text articles, which considered cardiovascular diseases at the time of flood, storm, and earthquake, respectively. Conclusion: Prevalence of CVD increases after DISASTERS. Lack of access to medication or lack of medication adjustment, losing home blood pressure monitor as a result of destruction and physical and mental stress after DISASTERS are of the most significant challenges of controlling and managing CVDs. By means of quick establishment of health clinics, quick access to appropriate diagnosis and treatment, providing and access to medication, self-management, and self-care incentives along with appropriate medication and non-medication measures to control stress, we can better manage and control cardiovascular diseases, particularly hypertension.

Abstract:

The NATURAL DISASTERS decrease the savings through reducing the government savings rate. However, the resultant DISASTERS effect on total savings depends on the private savings changes. In this paper, the impact of NATURAL DISASTERS on total savings is estimated using the data over the period 1973-2006. An Auto-Regressive Distributed Lags (ARDL) technique is used to estimate the empirical model. The results confirm that NATURAL DISASTERS raise the average propensity to savings in Iran. Moreover, the coefficient of error correction term indicates that 69 percent of the disequilibrium is corrected immediately, i.e. in the next year.

Abstract:

There are some questionable features and new concerns about law of tort with respect to NATURAL DISASTERS. Probing these arguments is necessary because of the evolution of legal thoughts and change of public believes about NATURAL hazards. worldwide. This paper has discussed about the nature of liability for NATURAL DISASTERS and seeks a way for incurring it to governmental organizations which can prevent from or mitigate the destructive effects of NATURAL DISASTERS. Therefore the welfare theory and philosophical theories are used to justify the new theory. Finally it will be proved that a sustainable prevention from such DISASTERS could be achieved by identifying the government liability for expectable and preventable damages of NATURAL hazards. Especially in developing countries. The theory can be supported by ascertaining the criminal and civil responsibilities for wrongdoers.
